IEEE Spark is an online publication intended to inspire students ages 14-18 to learn more about engineering, technology, and computing, and raise excitement about careers in these disciplines. IEEE Spark features articles on technological innovation, university preparation tips, professional career profiles, at-home activities, comics, and more! IEEE Spark is brought to you by IEEE with generous funding from the IEEE New Initiatives Committee.
IEEE and IBM have created a portal that combines information on engineering careers with interactive activities. Intended for pre-university parents, teachers, school counselors, students, and the general public, TryEngineering.org lets visitors explore how to prepare for an engineering career, find accredited engineering degree programs, download lesson plans, read profiles of engineers and engineering students, search for opportunities, play interactive games, and more.

IEEE TryNano.org is a Web site that serves as a resource for anyone interested in learning about nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Teacher In Service Program
EPICS IN IEEE
The Teacher In-Service Program (TISP) provides a forum for IEEE volunteers to demonstrate the application of engineering, science and mathematics concepts by sharing their real-world experiences with local pre-university educators.
IEEE offers training workshops for its volunteers on how to provide in-service programs to local pre-university educators.
EPICS, Engineering Projects in Community Services in IEEE, empowers students to work with local service organizations to apply technical knowledge to implement solutions for a community’s unique challenges. In this way, EPICS in IEEE not only assists communities in achieving their specific local community improvement goals but also encourages students to pursue engineering for community improvement as a career. EPICS in IEEE awards can be used for project-related supplies (as opposed to personnel costs) and typically range from $1,000 to $10,000 apiece.
An IEEE Foundation Signature Program, EPICS in IEEE has proven its ability to deliver on the IEEE core purpose of fostering technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.
TryComputing
EEE TryComputing.org is a free online pre-university computing education web site. IEEE TryComputing.org offers resources to inform and engage pre-university students, their teachers, school counselors and parents about computing and associated careers. Visitors can learn how to prepare for undergraduate computing studies and search for accredited computing degree programs around the world. They can also explore how computing careers can make a difference and meet computing professionals, students, and heroes. IEEE TryComputing.org features a variety of lesson plans on computing topics as well as tools and opportunities to support and encourage students in computing.
IEEE TryComputing.org builds upon the work of TryEngineering.org an online resource for students (ages 8-18), their parents, their teachers and their school counselors. It is a portal about engineering and engineering careers, developed to help young people understand better what engineering means, and how an engineering career can be made part of their future.
IEEE Educational Activities has assembled a variety of resources for pre-university teachers, school counselors, parents, and students. These resources are intended to provide guidance on locating additional information on engineering and engineering careers.
